Wow! Grim although. I read a human decapitation story once, relating to the guillotine. A doctor on the time was intrigued as to how long somebody could stay with out a physique. That is insane! I've heard tales of chickens running around with their heads cut off, but a chicken residing for over a 12 months with no head is astonishing! If I am ever in Colorado, I should take a look at the zombie chicken pageant - that has to be probably the most weird pageant within the nation!

For years I would stumble upon this story and wouldn't actually read the details but lastly checked out your article. Truly superb! Although I have witnessed chickens working with heads lower off on a normal basis. Also know as the kitchen staff operating a muck with a full restaurant and freaking out, and we obtained the hen house in the front with the wait employees, which might be more more likely to resemble the first moments of the decapitating.
I could take a break from chicken for awhile, well not less than entire chickens :)

Science is awesome! Doubt you will ever see PETA on a farm though. Farm life is a world of reality only the hardened can muster, my great-grandmother lived on a farm her whole life and he or she continues to be the toughest girls I've ever recognized or met... :)
