Unbelievable but believable
So Blackstone is introducing a new "rule"-composting. Yes, downstairs within the recycle space can be a special bin waiting for your discarded rooster wings and other edible refuse.
Now you'd assume that someone with a brain would first enforce the foundations already in place, but I see no discount in speeding bicycles, skateboards, and many others., around the Oval, I see no discount within the quantity of canine piss and crap that is all over (see photographs in one other put up), however yes you count on me and the hundreds of residents to contribute discarded chicken wings to your compost. You should be crazy. After all you aren't and can promote composting on your web site for the plebs to see.
However you are a FAILURE. Until you enforce the rules already in place. Do something, damn it, and stop with the smelly, diesel-spewing and noisy zambonis! There is a motive all operators put on a masks while the pedestrians don't.

Another one of the crucial stupidest things administration comes up with round right here. The Porters are actually going to comfortable about this one. This place continues to be out of control. OUT OF CONTROL!
This can be a gross dumb concept and wholesome hazard?
But our porter is so lazy and angry, he will not do it anyway.
Anonymous said...
I hope this isn't going to be "necessary" as a result of I've no intention of doing it. The recycling areas are already filthy and vermin-ridden due to the stupid slobs who throw their "organic" rubbish down there along with their dirty recyclables. They can go fuck themselves.
I assumed this was price reposting from an earlier thread.
"Management's newest "initiative" is composting. They need us to use brown bins to compost our food waste. Contemplating that they haven't even managed to get the current clown show of tenants to recycle correctly, how the hell do they anticipate individuals to compost appropriately? Individuals already leave each factor, together with natural waste, in any and each recycling bin and I'm pretty sure that no person is going to take any notice of the brown bins (besides maybe to drop their bottles and soiled cans into them) so that is really an excellent instance of how out of contact Management is with the best way individuals dwell here.
When Administration lastly "manages" to get tenants and non-tenants to obey the fundamental rules concerning safety (bikes and skateboards come to thoughts) and primary recycling protocols, then they need to come out with something as progressive as organic composting. Since they have not even grasped the rudiments in making tenants obey basic guidelines, allow them to take their composting and shove it the place the solar do not shine! Composting is an admirable concept, however not in a place as lawless and badly managed as this dump. I can't imagine how "pie-in-the-sky" out of touch this administration company is. They have to all be on medication.
Enforce fundamental safety and noise rules first, you ASSHOLES, after which ask us to compost and get with the progressive program!"

It's really gotten to the point where it's embarrassing to dwell right here. Trump would have had ALL of them fired by now. Enough of this nonsense. ENOUGH!
Nameless stated...
Hahahahaha! I hope they are doubling the porters pay, since they must type via recycling bins to select the rubbish that people put in them all day, every single day.
Out of control is an understatement. Complete stupidity is an understatement. I simply chuckle!!
Anonymous mentioned...
Does this mean they are going to be shutting off all of the rubbish chutes? I hope not. Folks put soiled diapers (grownup and toddler) down the chutes. Hopefully, they bag them first, but with the progressive idea of eliminating plastic buying bags by forcing folks to pay for them, there may be no possibility but to place them down the chute unwrapped. Different stuff has to go down the chute, too. Not every part is recyclable or natural. The recycling rooms are already nasty, irrespective of how exhausting the porters work, due to people who throw soiled stuff in the bins and who take their kitchen refuse all mixed up with recyclable objects and simply dump it.
Is Blackstone getting some kind of tax reduction or another sort of remuneration for this? I can't see them doing anything that does not bring in dollars for them as a result of they're simply not that kind of folks. Money is all that issues to them, in order that they must be getting something in return for this "initiative," and I doubt it's the satisfaction of helping the planet.
I'm wondering if they are removing the compactors.
"Roach and Rat City", coming to a theatre close to you.

Why even trouble. The scholars round here throw their rubbish out the window anyway.

Composting is turning into metropolis-huge for a very good reason. Curious why they did not choose to place these bins open air.

Great publish. My "Stytown" recycle area is a catastrophe nearly every night, particularly on weekends, common garbage mixed in with the re-cycle gadgets. The Kids of the Corn” transient demo they market this place to, who can change roommates on a quarterly basis, dump their stuff after they transfer in the hallways, the lobbies and the re-cycle rooms, by no means thoughts the accepted loop places within the loop roads. That lease rule plus the other lease rule which might be violated all the time which are posted on signs, on the official webpage or in the lease itself (comparable to propping the safety doorways open for the constant strikes) bodes unwell certainly for any type of compliance for composting. The vermin increase in these rooms will probably be off the charts. This can be a PR stunt, nothing extra.

Totally ridiculous.
And moronic. Like I'm gonna carry down my chicken bones and banana peels. Perhaps down on the farm but definitely not here!

What sort of fucking morons run the place ? Do they assume that as a result of it is a noble and ecologically useful endeavor, that the rats, roaches, mice and other vermin will simply ignore the pile of good smelly refuse now sitting in every carriage room ?? Are they out of their goddammed minds ??

As someone who lives on the primary ground , I am actually wanting ahead to the inflow of vermin from the misuse of those composting bins in the basement just below me. I commonly see rubbish in the recycling bin What an idiotic concept to have composting inside an house constructing the place some tenants are incapable of throwing out rubbish or recycling correctly

From the Yelp evaluations it appears to be like like the "Occupants" in the bulk leases they are utilizing to make cash while warehousing residences towards demolition numbers are having a hard time with administration too.

i'm going to post a evaluate too on yelp. i am so over and finished with this place.

What are these "bulk leases" and who're the leaseholders? Never heard of this earlier than. Am I to grasp that one particular person or entity can have multiple leases and hire space in those models to multiple "occupants?" Is that this even authorized?

Composting? Are they for actual or is this an early April Idiot joke? They think they will make us compost? They have to be crazy! They cannot even implement the recycling laws - which occur to be the laws of the City - they usually have ZERO success with enforcing any of the other "Home Rules!" LMFAO!! Let's examine them implement the rules about speeding bicycles, uncarpeted floors, assholes renting or guesting unregistered "company" for indeterminate lengths of time, the AirBnB scenario (which I think is actually fostered and condoned by Administration) and THEN inform us actual tenants that we now have to compost!
Yo Rick, go back to Boca where you don't have to essentially work and all of the little old girls assume you are the cutest thing since Relies upon. You don't belong in New York City and we do not like you or need you here. Make this place a livable, clear and decent residential property and treat tenants, especially real tenants who aren't simply passing by, with the respect you would like us to have for you and THEN come back and speak to us about composting.

the AirBnB state of affairs (which I believe is definitely fostered and condoned by Management) - you got that proper. It started with Bloomberg who's a fan of Airbnb and a business accomplice. New York Metropolis has been in partnerships with Airbnb for a very long time even during Hurricane Sandy and even right here in Stuyvesant City.
"In one other speech on Monday at a financial services trade group, Bloomberg joked that he had a backup plan if his media big company tanked — he'd lease out his Upper East Aspect mansion on Airbnb."

Just a matter of time!

From the Publish article: We are extremely smitten by this system,” said Ellen Schall, chair of NYU's Affordability Steering Committee. The price of housing is a significant problem for a lot of college students.”
Typical BS, and I might be looking to fire Ms. Schall. But that is me. Others may need to give her another recreation.

That's morbid to house transients with seniors presuming both will be gone in a short time period. To not mention that seniors are at a completely totally different stage of developed values and morality than a student who's just starting to develop them. 30 12 months olds dwelling at residence with their mother and father and college students dwelling with grandparents crammed into de Blasio denser housing while luxurious condos huge in measurement are constructed for the rich. This sounds like abusive Goldman Sachs.

Just read the Yelp web page - November 19, 2016 at three:00 PM - or stop by the security office the place there are always "occupants" having problems dwelling here - there are so many nonpermanent residents we now have "occupants on each flooring of every building.

12:01 PM That article by Linda Stasi really is correct on course. Manhattan goes to get even more uncool now that Fifth Avenue and adjacent streets shall be closed steadily and pedestrians shall be subject to stop and frisk because of the activity at Trump Tower.
Why would tourists wish to come right here when the City is impassable and full of an army of grim-faced police that make it seem like a totaliterian police state? When vacationers can't get to the issues they need to go to, CP, Rock Heart, the stores with their Vacation home windows, and so on., and the rich cannot get into Gucci's Tiffanys, and so on, Manhattan will lose a boatload of revenue and the invoice to the taxpayers and dearth of police protection elsewhere within the borough will not improve the quality of life. I hope the fallout makes property values drop and some of these amoral builders and the politicians they own have their large excessive rise hopes backfire in their ugly faces.

No Outdoors Rubbish! This comes on the heels of administration removing all StuyTown perimeter rubbish cans for worry of out of doors/non-resident usage. Who comes up with these concepts, we'd be higher off managed by chimpanzee's than this collection of canucks
Anonymous mentioned...
There's a again-alley like area behind our building close to Garage 5 the place "exterior/non-resident usage" would not occur. It is unseen from the sidewalks and roads and that is why all of the Oval development employees used to take a piss there. The composting could possibly be put there.
Nameless said...
Why did they take away the rubbish cans around the perimeter? Would they like that outsiders throw their trash on the street or through the fences? We all know that there are very few individuals who will carry their trash too far seeking a receptacle. Additionally they should realize that the recycling efforts on this property have failed quite abysmally as a result of, despite the fact that many people of fine will recycle accurately, the vast majority (particularly these from the burbs and flyover states) don't. Both they do not know how or do not care.
I agree with eight:forty five AM. A bunch of chimpanzees would run the property better, or a minimum of no worse!
"This place is a bathroom."
It really is. Fortuitously we have now this blog as an alternative to the entire comical reviews of this housing venture on the stuy town web page. For this, we all have STR to thank. Hopefully individuals will read this blog earlier than making a really large mistake and signing a lease.

As an alternative of tackling one thing at a time, they're attempting to sort out 10. Why not get noise underneath wraps, then move to bikes, then canines, then recycling, then door entries, then composting (in no particular order)?
If they spent 2-three months actually enforcing one thing, people may notice. As an alternative they introduce something else they can't enforce with composting.

The technique here is straightforward. Present something for everyone to build a coalition for help.
You may hate the dogs however love the bikes. Or hate the canine and the bikes however love 'environmental' composting...or the landscaping...or the facilities.

Nonetheless, if there's one unifying theme, I'd say the place is being treated increasingly like a college campus...guidelines enforced accordingly.

They dont care about tenant points, high quality of life. They care about Public Relations to make it look like a swell place to remain. Ignoring the Quality of Life is a solution to get you to maneuver out so public safety does not deal with all the standard of life issues from poop to bikes, noise. Public Security can be a corporate security department with a badge and NYPD back-up that is presupposed to do no matter corporate orders to protect the company profits. How much of the distress and danger right here is purposeful on Blackstone's part? Are they simply stupid as well as grasping? Or is the rapidly deteriorating environment deliberate?
Composting it appears to me that in addition to graft/bribes/collusion/nepotism and whatever the hell is involved, simply maybe this WELL BEING AND SECURITY problem is another method to help destroy the "property," devalue it extra quickly than the 20 year deadline.
In tandem with the removing of garbage cans, this undoubtedly ILLEGAL indoor composting initiative will create unsanitary conditions sufficient to breed disease. ILLNESS, yes, folks, together with rats, mice, roaches, waterbugs and other critters INTO YOUR PROPERTIES.
The buildings and land of Stuyvesant City and Peter Cooper Village can damage and infect folks, probably kill them, drive them away and in the end accelerate the date Blackstone can demolish the buildings and put up extra of the "luxury" dwelling that is infesting and destroying this and other cities. When you've acquired rotting buildings, pipes, etc., land despoiled by dog feces and urine, soil poisoned each season by their "landscaping specialists," food and drinks sitting quietly INSIDE your building and bringing in hordes of vermin, this place can extra quickly become one thing that can be condemned, cleared of people and destroyed.
For a profit.
Your lives are price less than nothing and hazard of many kinds and kinds is being encouraged every day.
An oasis within the city.

I have no intention of either recycling or composting as a result of these worthy programs aren't applied the best way they should be because Blackstone has no actual interest or need to implement them the way they need to be applied. The students and transients do not give a flying fuck in regards to the environment right here. All they care about is getting excessive and balling. How the hell most of them get into what used to be a prestigious college boggles the thoughts. Rich parents, I am guessing.
DeBlasio challenges Trump (who I believe is a complete ass and has reduced the Presidency of the United States to a level lower than it ever could go, full of conflicts, nepotism and sheer psychological disorder) and he (DeB) talks about New York values. What New York values? Having illegal immigrants work for shit, having his benefactor developers build increasingly ugly, mild-blocking monstrosities for foreign oligarchs and their spawn use to launder their cash and dupe the US Authorities into giving them Green Cards in a pay to play rip-off? DeB and his sidekicks should pack their luggage and get out of city. DeB is nothing roughly than a toe rag to the avaricious developers and REBNY. DeB is as big an egotistical buffoon as Trump. One term mayor. One time period Pres (though I doubt he will be capable to serve his first (and final) term.
We are in very bad shape, of us. We've an egotistical asshole of a mayor and soon we can have egotistical fool of a President.

Neighborhood Recommendations
New to Stuy City/Peter Cooper Village? Listed here are some fundamental recommendations.
Greatest supermarket: Associated on 14th St. between 1st Ave. and Ave A. The most affordable costs, fantastic weekly gross sales, very reasonably priced lunches; strong, responsive management. A few of the young female cashiers have perspective to spare, though. Could also be too far for Peter Cooper residents.
Best gym: Don't waste your money on the Oval Fitness Gymnasium. As an alternative go to the earthy but real Asser Levy Leisure Center, proper above twenty third St on Asser Levy Place (near the FDR Drive). $75 for a yr's membership; seniors are nearly free. Contains seasonal indoor and outdoor swimming swimming pools, ping-pong table, two pool tables. Referred to as by someindividuals who wouldn't get caught going there "the prison gymnasium," and you know why.
A Stuy Town favorite is Lenz's on 20 St. between the 20 St. Loop. The way in which New York was. Be careful of unwanted "pepper" in your meals, nonetheless. Lenz's has a B grade ranking and was quickly closed down because of an order from the Well being Division. Bruno's on First Avenue is extra upscale, with a larger choice of food gadgets (higher-priced, too), however was closed down briefly by the Well being Department in June.
Gracefully has two locations, however we desire for it's measurement the one on 1st Ave. Prices are excessive and replicate the brand new tenants which are at present renting Stuy Town and Peter Cooper apartments. We like Gracefully's lunch specials, which are inexpensive.
Disappointments:
Starbucks. Each the Stuyvesant City and Peter Cooper Village ones, but at least you can get a seat every so often on the Peter Cooper Starbucks. The personnel appear nice, but the final time I used to be on the twenty third St one, I had to go away as a result of the music was loud and screechy, in order that I assumed dying cats have been screaming.

In case you are at present diagnosed with Macular Degeneration, the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary is providing a support group for you. Conveniently positioned next to the Peter Cooper Village Stuyvesant City condo complex, our group presents the chance to share tales with different members, hearken to skilled guest audio system, and study coping methods to cut back stress.
