Los Angeles, Nov 1 (IANS ) Two-time Tony Award winner Tammy Grimes, known for her gritty voice, died on the age of eighty two, confirmed her nephew.
Her nephew Duncan MacArthur said that the broadway star died on Sunday in Englewood, New Jersey, experiences the New York Times.
She was born in Lynn in Massachusetts, to Luther Nichols and Eola Willard in 1934. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, earlier than making her stage debut in "Jonah and the Whale" in 1955.
She gained her first Tony award for Finest Actress in a Musical in 1961 as the lead character in Meredith Wilson's musical "The Unsinkable Molly Brown".
The award-successful actress additionally starred in many Broadway productions, comparable to "Rattle of a Simple Man", "High Spirits" and "The Only Game in Town".
