Someday, a prince saw her working alongside the meadows. He was impressed by her beauty and wished to marry her. She promised to marry if he might defeat her in a working race and he agreed to it.
He invoked the Goddess of Love and she or he gave him three golden apples. She also whispered something in his ears. Subsequent day, the whole population of Greece gathered to observe the race between the prince and Atalanta.
The race began, every time Atalanta overtook the prince, he threw a golden apple in her path. Atalanta was stunned and delighted on the sight of the golden apple. She slowed down to select up the apple. For the time being, the prince raced forward of her. Equally, he dropped all of the three golden apples. Atalanta quickly forgot concerning the race as she bend down to choose up the apples. Ultimately, the prince received the race.
Only ultimately, did Atalanta understand that the prince had tricked her. Although initially she was offended, she understood the love and affection the prince had for her. She agreed to marry him and so they lived fortunately ever after.
Midas Touch
This story has an ethical hooked up to it. There was king referred to as Midas. He was a very grasping king and didn't care a lot for his topics and his household.
At some point, a Genie appeared before King Midas and asked what he needed. The king asked for a boon that whatever he touched ought to flip to gold. The Genie granted him the boon. The greedy king was so excited that he touched all of the objects... the flowers of his backyard, the fountains and so on. Quickly his coffers were overflowing with gold, but he was unhappy as a result of he could not odor the flowers or play along with his daughter.
The daughter turned unhappy and sad. Midas could not even eat as a result of the meals he touched changed into gold. He had to go hungry, that's when he realized how silly his want was.
Sooner or later, the king hugged his daughter, who turned into a golden statue. In grief, Midas hailed the Genie and advised him to carry his daughter again to life. He also requested the Genie to free him of the boon. The ethical of the story is: Greediness makes you and folks you love sad.
